Labour Government Benefits Culture Results in Rampaging Feral Youths

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThe easy money for nothing benefits culture that Labour has implemented over its 11 year rule, which is in part to reward a large section of its natural voter pool has resulted in the expansion of the benefits culture far beyond that of the preceding decades where invariably the operative strategy in maximising the amounts claimed in benefits is to produce increasing number of children, with little if any effort put into raising a large proportion of the children into decent members of society but instead resulting in rampaging literally untouchable feral youths roaming the estates and city centres of Britain wreaking havoc amongst the rest of the population.

This was brought to a head this week in the Inquest of Fiona Pilkington and her daughter who over 10 years had her family abused by her neighbours feral children, as the police repeatedly failed to take any action against the feral out of control local youths that made her life a misery and in despair forced her to kill herself and her disabled daughter by setting fire to her car. The police ignored Mrs Pilkington's repeated quests for help not once but some 33 times over more than 10 years, where the typical response from the Police was for Mrs Pilkington to close her windows and ignore the youths who would continue vandalising their property, and threaten both her children.

The Times Online reports - Family behind Fiona Pilkington bullying 'still causing problems'

The children, who have virtually no parental control, are said to remain the root cause of antisocial behaviour on the street where they tormented Fiona Pilkington and her severely disabled daughter, Francecca, for almost ten years.

Mrs Pilkington, 38, was driven to such despair by the children that she drove her car to a lay-by and set it alight while she and her 18-year-old daughter sat inside. Their bodies were found in the family’s Austin Maestro just off the A47 near Earl Shilton, Leicestershire, in October 2007. They were burnt beyond recognition and had to be identified by DNA samples taken from their home.

Giving evidence at Loughborough Town Hall, Ron Grantham, the council’s community safety manager, said: “Throughout this tragic case this family continues to cause trouble even to this day.”

His team had been called by Mrs Pilkington to say that her son and daughter were being hounded by children in February 2007, eight months before her death.

Tim Butterworth, the council’s antisocial behaviour officer, spent more than an hour with the mother who explained how her son, Anthony, now 19, and Francecca had been targeted.

His notes listed how she was suffering “distress and anxiety” after having stones thrown at the house, milk stolen, verbal and threatening abuse and the children jumping into her hedges.

He identified eight children, aged from 9 to 16, from five separate families as involved in the hate campaign, said to be because they did not like Francecca and Anthony’s disabilities.

The parents from all five families received a letter warning that further action would be taken unless the behaviour ceased. While four families replied to the letter and were seen by the council officer, only the one family, who cannot be named, was believed to have “torn up” the letter and was never visited, Mr Grantham said.

“One of the particular offenders of antisocial behaviour continues to cause problems. It’s not just one member of the family, it’s more,” he added. He said that the parents had refused to sign an “acceptable behaviour contract” and failed to meet a council official and a police officer to discuss their children’s behaviour.

Just over a month before the women died the council obtained a civil court order for notice of repossession of their council house, but in April last year the court suspended the move. After the deaths a court ruling allowing the parents to be arrested if their children misbehaved was imposed. Mr Grantham said that there had recently been “a bit of a relapse” in the children’s behaviour.

Asked by Olivia Davison, the assistant deputy coroner for Leicestershire and Rutland, what he thought was responsible for a family that seemed above the law, Mr Grantham replied: “It has to come down to parental control. With the best will in the world we have done an awfully large amount of work. But if you cannot get a level of parental control things will escalate.

“I dread to think what will happen to their children. They will end up in prison in my opinion.”

The local council, the social services, the police have all shown themselves to be unfit for purpose and this is leading to growing anger amongst the general public to call for a public inquiry into the failure of the authorities and the Police to do their job, for clearly in this and many other similar ongoing cases across the country the Police forces are proving unfit for purpose, where in the first instance incompetent officers need to be held to account and in the second instance procedures implemented to ensure that the Police do their job when it comes to anti-social behaviour and hate crimes.

Unfortunately this case is not a one off as statistics reveal that as many as 90% of those with learning difficulties are subject to hate crimes from out of control feral youth who's parents through their lack of parenting show contempt for the wider society, focusing instead on maximising benefit claims.

The Labour Governments Benefits Culture is Extremely Dangerous for Britain

The benefits culture where the aim exists to maximise benefits received by permanently non working parents by means of increased number of children who themselves will go on to perpetuate the self same behaviour of their parents and grand parents has dire implications for Britians future as the money for nothing generational benefits class that has no inculcation for work continues to grow far beyond the rate of the working and middle classes, therefore leading towards an escalating unproductive tax on the UK economy. As the number of children born into the working and middle class averages less than 2, whilst the number born into the benefits class numbers more than 4, which given the fact that there is little incentive to educate will eventually lead to the dumbing down of society and a drain on future productivity.

Despite 10 Years of debt fuelled Economic Boom into the End of 2007 the Benefits Class had continued to grow relentless and now totals more than 8 million of those of working age against the working population of 28 million.

Whilst it may be good for Labour to have a dumbed down voter pool that it can march to the voting booths each election, however it does sow the seeds for the further destruction of civil society both in terms of monetary costs and soaring crime rates.

The experience of many on Britians housing estates is that of a handful of problem families bringing misery to the whole estate, with the wider problem of alcohol abuse spreading unsocial behaviour right into the city centres.

The next conservative government needs to unravel the Labour governments benefits culture of the past 10 years by forcing parents to become responsible for their children under the threat of prison. By ensuring that the youth understand that their are strict consequences for their actions and that criminal and unsociable behaviour will be punished.

By ensuring that the Police do their job and those failing in their duties are held to account.

By ensuring that drinking establishments and drink manufacturers that target youths through their advertising are more accountable for the consequences of their products in the hands of youths i.e made to pay for the consequences in the form of penalties.

'Feral Youths'

Please do we have to continuously downgrade the youths within our society with titles such as 'feral' and 'antisocial' ? surely this is a dead end move which can only lead us to further discrimination in an already criminalizing culture towards young people on our streets. This story is awful and of course there is an element of delinquent youths within our society, but surely we should be concentrating on the reasons why they are this way instead of pushing and excluding them further.

Impunity

Its not the youths themselves, its a system that makes them untouchable, yet allows them to behave as they do without fear of consequence. Its not just England.
