However, even after doing so you are more likely than not to find that despite what the staff tell you they have done and that everything is now fine, instead when you get back home you'll soon realise that whatever the staff did and told you they had done amounts to a big fat zero! As the note blocking your account remains, requesting customers in an endless circle to keep visiting a local branch and show ones ID until perhaps one succumbs to the bank staffs sales pitch of x,y,z financial product.
So Halifax bank customers remain in a perpetual state of paralysis unable to send or recieve funds as has been my experience of using the Sheffield Halifax Moor Branch.
The bottom line is the Lloyds Halifax banking group slide that began with the financial crisis, even 10 years on has not hit rock bottom, So this banking group appears destined for the history books as it's just lost it x millionth customer. As likely happened earlier this year when hundreds of thousands of customers were also locked out of their online accounts, requesting visits to a local branch so they can be sold a financial product.
