Five Dividend Paying Tech Stocks for Investing 2012 / Companies / Dividends

By: Fast_Graphs

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleHere are five technology-oriented companies that are currently trading at a price earnings ratio that implies that the stocks are attractively valued. Each of these five companies currently offers a dividend yield that is above-average as represented by the S&P 500.

The following table summarizes five technology-oriented companies that appear to be attractively valued, and lists them in order of dividend yield highest to lowest. From left to right, the table shows the company's stock symbol and name. Next the company's historical EPS growth followed by the estimated EPS growth. Next you will find the current PE ratio followed by the historical normal PE ratio for perspective. Then the 5-year estimated annual total return, followed by dividend yield for each company. The final three columns show the company sector, debt, and its market cap.

Blue-chip Dividend Growth Stocks Today’s Strong Option for Retirement Portfolios Part 2 / Companies / Dividends

By: Charles_Carnevale

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleIn part one of this two-part series (Found Here) I laid the groundwork for why I believe that blue-chip dividend paying US equities represent not only a viable, but also a safer investment choice than many give them credit for. I also pointed out why I believe the risk profile on bonds is currently upside down, arguing that for one of the few times in history they may actually be more dangerous an investment than equities.

This is not normal, and therefore, I believe requires looking at investment choices differently than we traditionally have. I once read a comment from the renowned spiritual leader Dr. Wayne Dyer that summarizes my point quite nicely: "when you change the way you look at things the things you look at change." In today's investment environment I think we need to change the way we look at bonds and simultaneously change the way we look at equities. At least temporarily regarding bonds, until interest rates normalize, which I believe they eventually will. But perhaps we should change the way we look at equities more permanently.

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleLarry D. Spears writes: For investors, May started out as a month of great promise. On May 1, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 65.69 points, closing at 13,279.

Blue-Chip Dividend Growth Stocks Are Today’s Strong Option For Retirement Portfolios / Companies / Dividends

By: Charles_Carnevale

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThere is a confluence of factors that are painting a very odd picture of current investor behavior.  Common sense and a careful analysis of the market dynamics between equities and bonds today would indicate that investors should be acting in the exact opposite manner than they are. Interest rates are hovering at a 100-year low, which creates two problems for investors.  First, there is not enough return from bonds to fund a retiree’s income needs or to fight inflation. Second, investing in bonds with interest rates so low makes it riskier to own bonds today than it has been in over a century.

Five Healthy Dividend Growth Stocks to Cure What Ails Your Portfolio / Companies / Dividends

By: Fast_Graphs

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThese five above-average growing opportunities in the healthcare sector provide dividend growth investors potential alternatives to the traditional large-cap pharmaceuticals. This is a high quality group of healthcare companies that possess above-average growth potential plus an above-average dividend yield that is expected to grow at above-average future rates. Consequently, we believe these candidates offer the total package.  We believe that each of these nontraditional healthcare opportunities are attractively valued, provide an attractive dividend, and the opportunity for above-average total return.

The Dividend Aristocrats Found The Lost Decade / Companies / Dividends

By: Charles_Carnevale

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThere are many people who continue to hold a jaundiced view of stocks because they were traumatized by the last two recessions. Precipitous drops in equity prices drove them to distrust stocks and stock markets. However, I believe that most of the negative sentiment is a function of what I would describe as vague ideas about what really happened. A lot has to do with many investors failing to recognize, or make the important distinctions, that were the true causes of our last two market crashes.

Beat Inflation and a Down Market With Dividend Stocks / Companies / Dividends

By: Investment_U

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleMarc Lichtenfeld writes: The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco issued a report predicting stock prices could fall 13 percent in the next decade.

That would be some accomplishment. I’m not sure if the researchers who issued the report are aware that they’re predicting the fifth-worst 10-year performance by the market in the last 74 years. The four worst: the 10-year periods ending in the years 1937, 1938, 1939 and 1940 – all time frames that were impacted by the Great Depression.
