Here's why GCSE Exams for 2021 in England are going to be CANCELLED and the grades will likely be based on Mock exams and teach assessments as every week tens of thousands of students are being forced to self isolate for upto 2 weeks whenever someone in their class tests positive for Covid 19, which given the failure of the government to control the virus will likely number more than 100,000 students self isolating in any one week.

Finally Britain's school children are finding their way back into the classrooms of Britains, Junior and Secondary schools! Though this should have happened in Mid June! Sill better late than never as by the end of this week at least 94% of Britains' school children will be back in school full time.
Let's hope the teachers unions do not subvert the education of Britain's school children by following through with their threats of Covid fear driven strike action, that's the last thing Britain's school kids need after being abandoned by the education establishment for the past 6 months!

Boris Johnson's clueless moronic government advised by vested interest Scientists who's primary focus is on feather their own nests hence repeatedly giving what turns out to be BAD advice is supplemented by teachers unions who are playing their own insidious game using children and pawns in their one upmanship against the Tory government all which has meant that the teachers IGNORED government instructions to OPEN all schools as of Mid June! Latest u-turn from out moronic government is for optional face masks to be worn in schools leaving the decision upto individual schools. Though reality is the children are more intelligent about the virus than the government, schools AND teachers!
What Britain's suffering children cannot afford is for the same insidious forces to disrupt and delay the opening of all schools in September 2020!

Coronavirus: UK Parents Demand ALL Schools OPEN September, 7 Million Children Abandoned by Teachers / Politics / Educating Children

Britain's Schools have betrayed Britain's children and students after having embraced all the governments lockdown and then refused to reopen schools in June as demanded by Boris Johnson's government with noise eminat6ing from the highly unionised cowardly bunch that they are eager to continue their 6 month holiday during September in response to which Boris Johnson issued a statement “Keeping our schools closed a moment longer than absolutely necessary is socially intolerable, economically unsustainable and morally indefensible,”
Whilst the whole of the NHS stood up and did their duty, teachers in large part have been found cowering at home with a glass of cheap white wine, hiding behind their union, finding any excuse to stay out of the classroom, all whilst collecting full pay. Shameful.

UK Schools Failure to Reopen Impacts Mental Health of Children Sat at Home Instead of in Classrooms / Politics / Educating Children

Britain's schools are very badly failing children that will have consequences long after covid-19 becomes a paragraph in the history books as the continuing failure to open schools is resulting in untold damage being done to the educational and mental well being of many millions of children across Britain.
UK schools were supposed to open on the 15th of June 2020. Instead most if not ALL schools have only paid lip service towards school openings who have followed local city council dictats of self prophesied covid-19 experts, who it should not be forgotten closed schools about 3 weeks too late to start with thus contributing to the triggering of a huge wave of deaths well beyond the Governments upper estimate of 20,000. Who now with the deaths coming under control have swung in the other extreme direction by refusing to reopen schools.
So that there is no confusion, asking children to check their emails for assignments and online resources does NOT amount to reopening of schools!

Depending on where you live and what year you are in some children are getting their first taste of school today. However still most are not being allowed the opportunity for any face to face contact. Pediatricians warn of huge amount of damage being done to children's life chances and mental health unless schools are immediately opened as many kids are literally going crazy sat locked down at home!
And apparently whilst it is okay for children to visit Primark many schools are refusing to let children back into school which gives the impression of teachers literally hiding under their desks fearful of the little monsters that they refuse to see let alone teach, instead barraging parents with junk mail asking them to do their jobs for them.

GCSE Exam Results Day Shock! How to Get 9 A*'s Grade 9's in England and Maths / Personal_Finance / Educating Children

It's GCSE results day today, where 700,000 16 year olds across England and Wales will have been busy popping down to their secondary schools to find out if they managed to get their target GCSE grades for the courses they intend on enrolling for September start.
Overall minimum pass grades awarded of C/4 is marginally up;on last year by 0.4%. Whilst a C is a pass, given the competition to get accepted on courses then the ultimate objectives are to achieve the A* and 9 grades for selected subjects, grades for which are also up by 0.3%. So if a student is choosing to enrol on say 3 A-levels in September then the objective would be to achieve 3 A*'s in those 3 chosen subjects as a sign of having the capability to go on and achieve a similar grade at A level.

Sheffield School Applications Crisis Eased by New Secondary Schools Places / Local / Educating Children

It looks like the city of Sheffield has finally turned the corner in respect of it's 8 year long self created crisis in school places with the opening of two new secondary schools Astrea in Burngreave and Mercia just south of Netheredge which will especially seek to take the pressure off of schools in the South West of the city Silverdale and High Storrs which have literally been swamped by over subscription, even after doubling the intake.

Governor Hogan's executive order benefits businesses in Maryland's coastal areas that lose school-aged summer employees and business from Maryland families when schools start in August. However, as Governor Hogan's critics have pointed out, some Maryland school districts, as well as Maryland schoolchildren, benefit from an earlier start to the school year.
