The CIA’s Presidents / ElectionOracle / Intelligence Agencies
Any unmasking of the shadow forces that pull the strings that often determine events requires a time frame context. Historical study can go back to antiquity for classic examples of surreptitious intrigue, but in an age of distorted and diachronic mind control, the creation of the CIA by President Truman was our modern day and literal water shed monument. Coming out of the Office of Strategic Services, the brainchild of Wild Bill Donovan developed into the playpen of Allen Dulles. The OSS origins on their face are clandestine by nature. Spooks and spies might be a trendy name for a board game, but when the pieces on the squares are pushed in direction of liquidation and oblivion, the uninitiated are truly the uneducated, for not grasping their significance. Being one of those pieces requires the responsibility of every citizen to wake up out of their lethargy.

Technology in cyber space is designed to be the instrument of a totality surveillance society. Secretive methods, back doors, observation and collection of data have been in place for decades. IRAN was the First Time the CIA Overthrew a Government… / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
By Nick Giambruno
62 years later, the aftermath is still troubling global politics.
Operation Ajax was a pivotal moment in US and world history. It was the first time the CIA overthrew a government.
Yet even today the US government would rather not talk about it. That’s why it remains an unknown story for many Americans.

The Patriot Act is now USA Freedom Act / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
How many times has the mainstream media mentioned the USA Freedom Act? Well, if you did hear of this legislation, you must have been watching C-SPAN or a foreign press channel. Read a report from NPR, that government funded broadcast, which never fails to present a known editorial viewpoint.

CIA Prefab State Terror for Human Bondage / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
The shadow cabal that exerts raw power over the public controls and dictates the mindset that passes as the popular culture. Keeping people in fear, real or manufactured is essential to keep the police state omnipresent. Both foreign and domestic operations are conducted to divide and rule, not only other nations, but the indigenous populations that are targets of the next clandestine mission. Since the end of WWII, the intelligence community has lead the way to overturn our constitutional republic and put into place a controlled social environment that is docile and obedient to the masters of the Amerika Empire.

Japan's Intelligence Reform Inches Forward / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
When the Allies defeated Japan at the end of World War II, they dismantled the Japanese security apparatus and deliberately left the country dependent on outside powers. This entailed not only taking apart the military but also the extensive imperial intelligence apparatus that had facilitated Japanese expansion in Asia. As it reconstituted itself, postwar Japan opted for a decentralized intelligence system as an alternative to its prewar model. The result was more a fragment of an intelligence apparatus than a full system, with Tokyo outsourcing the missing components to its allies. This system worked through the Cold War, when Japan was more essential to U.S. anti-Soviet strategy. Since then, however, Japan has found itself unable to count on its allies to provide vital intelligence in a timely manner. The Islamic State hostage crisis in January, during which Japan depended on Jordanian and Turkish intelligence, reinforced this lesson.

Argentina's President Fends Off Challenges from the Intelligence Service / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner announced Jan. 26 that she would reform her country's civilian intelligence organization, the Intelligence Secretariat (SI). Soon after, the office of the president said it would submit a draft law to reform the SI to the Senate on Feb. 3. In addition to changing the organization's name to the Federal Intelligence Agency, the reform is expected to significantly weaken the SI by limiting its ability to gather signals intelligence, revealing a wider political dispute.

U.S. CIA Torture Report Released - Full 525 Pages / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
In our system, no one should be above the law or beyond the law’s reach, no matter how senior the official. The record has long been clear that the Bush administration’s torture program was devised at the highest levels, with the involvement of the White House, the Department of Justice, the CIA, and the Department of Defense. The record now also shows that the architects and perpetrators of torture misled the public, Congress, and other institutions charged with oversight of government agencies about the scope and extent of torture, the significance of various prisoners, the concreteness of various alleged plots, and the significance of information obtained through torture.

The Digital World, The Opiate of The People / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
What leads me to think again about state surveillance and its devastating effects on privacy, freedom and liberty is a recent article posted at Asia Times, "Tomgram: Shamsi and Harwood, An Electronic Archipelago of Domestic Surveillance", (1) which presented just another reminder to Americans and the world of what the U.S.A. is threatening to become: a veritable police state, a totalitarianism and a military/intel controlled nation. In addition to allegations of illegal wars, occupations and assassinations, drone strikes, provocations of Russia, China and the global South; in addition to proposed federal and state neoliberal and neocon policies that promise to further shred the already torn social and welfare fabrics; in addition to its chronic addictions to materialism and consumerism that destroy the environment and deplete the soul; in addition to its racism (officially denied); in addition to reports about legalized forms of mobsterism in financial houses, hedge funds, vulture funds; in addition to its de facto command over nations fearful of its military prowess and financial sanctions; America is also the world's unabashed spy, espionage agent and unrivaled, unabated master of all data it ingests, scans, records, stores and analyzes! And all is done for one and only one purpose: CONTROL But for whom?

Mossad in Gaza, Ukraine and the Cult Of The All-Powerful Elite / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
What the MH17 Disaster Proves
To date, as of end July, it proves that conspiracy theorists can beat their favorite gong – of evil and all-powerful elites in Washington, Brussels and Kiev creating a false flag to blacken separatists in eastern Ukraine as “terrorists”. So far and to date, we have not heard how Mossad was involved, but it likely has plenty to do in Gaza running a 2014 version of the Warsaw ghetto uprising of 1944 and its savage repression by the Nazis. Keeping the pot of hate boiling over, as any secret service should do.

Ron Paul - End Torture, Shut Down The CIA! / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
Remember back in April, 2007, when then-CIA director George Tenet appeared on 60 Minutes, angrily telling the program host, "we don't torture people"? Remember a few months later, in October, President George W. Bush saying, "this government does not torture people"? We knew then it was not true because we had already seen the photos of Iraqis tortured at Abu Ghraib prison four years earlier.

Edward Snowden Towers Over His Enemies / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
The Guardian just ran an interview with Edward Snowden, the former NSA contractor who blew the whistle on perhaps the most extensive secret spying program in human history and is now a man without a country, very much in danger of assassination or rendition or any number of other nasty things should Washington get ahold of him.
It’s a short interview, just 14 minutes, but by the end it is clear that this guy is vastly smarter and more interesting than the politicians and bureaucrats who would like to hang him. See it here:

How Edward Snowden Strengthened the NSA / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
It has been a year since Edward Snowden blew the whistle on the NSA.
I appreciate what Snowden did. His decision to leak the stolen documents has done the conservative movement an enormous favor. It has blown to smithereens the greatest single myth of conservatism: “If the American people knew about this, there would be an uprising.” No, there wouldn’t.

The CIA Through The Looking-Glass / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
The US Empire’s Eyes and First Sword
“The distance is so great between how we live and how we ought to live that he who abandons what is done for what ought to be done learns his ruin rather than his preservation; because a man who wants to make a profession of goodness in everything is bound to come to ruin among so many who are not good.” Niccolo Machiavelli, The Prince (1513)
The Central Intelligence Agency was established in 1947. For the first time, a separate civilian organization became the command center for all US intelligence rather than the Pentagon. Covert operations were explicitly authorized by the new law.

Google, China, The Nsa And The Fourth Turning / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
“Even if you’re not doing anything wrong, you’re being watched and recorded. …it’s getting to the point where you don’t have to have done anything wrong, you simply have to eventually fall under suspicion from somebody, even by a wrong call, and then they can use this system to go back in time and scrutinize every decision you’ve ever made, every friend you’ve ever discussed something with, and attack you on that basis, to sort of derive suspicion from an innocent life.” – Edward Snowden

Ukraine A Carefully Orchestrated CIA Coup d’état / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
David Shayler writes: What has occurred in Ukraine was not a popular revolution, it was a carefully orchestrated coup d’état. The “demonstrators” with the metal barricades, bullet proof vest, army helmets, weapons, shield and masks were very well organized and trained. The whole affair was orchestrated by the West in an attempt to bring Ukraine into NATO and split Russia. Mr. David Shayler a former MI5 officer spoke to the Voice of Russia on the activities of the intelligence services and on what the forces behind the scenes are doing. He says President Putin is merely protecting his country and his people and is in a strong position.

Edward Snowden, the NSA, and the US Courts / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
Ben O'Neill writes: Many commentators following the NSA scandals have been eagerly awaiting the recommendations of the US government task force on the matter, and the proposed reforms to be implemented by President Obama to bring the spy agency under control. If you’re interested in this kind of thing, you can watch the president’s recent speech and nod your head approvingly when he talks about the“tradition of limited government” in the United States, and the constitutional limits his government is at pains to respect. Oh, and just for good measure, while you’re listening to this magnificent oration being replayed to you on YouTube, the NSA will be recording your internet browser history, or possibly even hacking your computer.[1] If you decide to click on the “like” or “dislike” buttons at the bottom of the video, that little nugget of political information can be added to their “metadata” archives, along with the rest of your internet activities. In fact, in the 42 minutes it will take you to watch the president’s speech, the NSA will have hoovered up around 40 million records of internet browsing from around the world.[2] Perhaps yours will be among them.

Forget Goodfella's the NSA and CIA are the Real Crime Syndicate / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
David R. Hoffman writes: When I first started writing for Pravda.Ru over ten years ago, I thought I could help change the world. However, at some point, I cannot exactly say when, I lost this faith and writing simply became more of a catharsis and less about believing that my words would make a difference.
As this transformation occurred, I could not help but wonder how many other writers, musicians, artists, and activists endured the same experience.

The National Security State - America's MostDdangerous Institutions / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
Predictably, President Obama has done nothing significant to diminish the National Security State. He presided over its expansion. Why should he want to undo it?
It’s a big mistake, however, in understanding the National Security State (NSS) and what to do about it to focus on Obama. The issue concerning the NSS is much deeper than one man, one president and a few terms of office.
Once we understand the NSS, we will see that it will only disappear in two cases. Either it falls when the American Empire falls, or it falls if Americans fundamentally rethink and change their entire government.

Edward Snowden Warning on the Orwellian US Government Total Surveillance State - Video / Politics / Intelligence Agencies
On December 25th 2013 Edward Snowden delivered an alternative Christmas message on the UK’s channel 4 TV station. Before the broadcast a short version of the speech was leaked and immediatly uploaded to youtube. That upload was immediatly blocked but many re-uploads made the clip available everywhere. This is one of those places. If you want to thank Edward Snowden for giving up his relationship, familiy, job and any chance of a normal life to inform us all go here (freesnowden.is/donate/index.html) and donate. Or spread his message. And do something with it. Because if something is done all of Edward’s sacrifices have meaning.
