"America Today", from Almanac 2021

Politics / US Politics Sep 11, 2008 - 07:41 AM GMT

By: Michael_T_Bucci

Politics America was a culture based almost exclusively on material possessions and monetary acquisition, and chief proponent of pure capitalism. When money was exhausted, credit took its place, but soon there was no collateral to back that credit or revenue to pay it back. By this time, the nation and its people were indentured to foreign countries while simultaneously taking or threatening military actions against them. Since its inception, accelerating from the Civil War period, Plutocracy had risen and finally ruled the country making divisions between rich and poor extreme, though successfully masked through instruments of mass delusion.

Before the end of Empire, the average person remained obliviousness to all but a concern for the loss of comforts and material security; blamed its conditions on other nations; and generally became abandoned by a world victimized by its military machine and fraudulent financiers and bankers. Lacking moral fiber, the whole people participated in the rise and fall of Empire. This is why today still, the American people as a whole are held ultimately accountable.

In the intervening years after collapse and before restoration of partial liberties, the country became uncivilized and inhumaneness reigned during the epoch of the "Great Chaos". Since The International Tribunal had forcibly removed nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction, the civil strife that sporadically waged for half a decade was confined to within the borders of the country. There was massive loss until it was minimized by martial law imposed by the global community. Under the supervision of the Higher Authorities, the world has stabilized and the after-effects of the "American problem" are all but confined to that region.

Today the people of America are denied recognition in the World Council and Trade Community. A struggle to restore democracy is occurring, but continued disagreements between warring political factions prevent it. A World Council representative leads the country and delegations from member countries are assigned to govern each State. The Trade Council controls the economy, and a reemergence of industry is permissible only when highly regulated. Private wealth, plutocratic and monopolistic practices are strictly forbidden. Scientists are barred from any research having military application. It is illegal for financial institutions to participate in remaining world markets.

Educational reforms take place throughout the society and attendance is mandatory. Before democracy is marginally permitted again, the American must show a demonstrable understanding of American history - particularly the "spirit" behind its founding documents - and the roots behind its demise. Due to former deep cultural conditioning by its media, progress toward this is slow. This is why advancement toward restoring Constitutional government is not expected for one-half to one generation.

Studies of the decline, decay and death of the American Empire have a common objective in learning how humankind can avoid reproducing this fate. Close scrutiny is paid to the roles that capital, religion and media played in undermining intrinsic human values. How material acquisitiveness and technology supplanted human interaction. How mass delusions replaced free thought, independent judgement, reason and hence democracy. How the rule of law upheld the powers of societal destruction in the interest of the minority. Why a system built on self-interest is self-destructive. Why no sole nation today is permitted to hold single or combined financial and military supremacy over any other nation or nations, and how this is enforced.

The American Empire could not be defeated through economic collapse alone, for it possessed military power rivaling all other nations combined. In its death throes, America unilaterally threatened the world with annihilation precipitating galactic imbalance. Higher Intervention by the Higher Authorities prevented this outcome, for no other preventative means existed on the planet. It is only in such cases as total planetary destruction that Intervention is permitted, as was the case.

Like the Nuremberg Trials of the Twentieth Century, the Washington Trials served to isolate the architects of the latter Empire, dispel national myths, uphold standards of international justice, and educate the people of their role and complicity. Sentence was pronounced on four successive living Presidents, their Vice-Presidents, Cabinets and most members of Congress, as well as the leaderships of the multinational and financial sectors. The harshest verdicts were delivered to members of the military and intelligence communities for their role in the "shadow government" that controlled the civilian one, and masterminded all international relations to accrue military and financial world dominance. A separate judicial body of the Trials treated American War Crimes, beginning with the dropping of the atomic bombs in 1945.

In the beginning of the third decade of the Twenty-First century, resolutions leading to restoration of some economic and democratic rights are pending. General welfare assistance from world bodies has increased in past years from assurances of the country's demilitarization and rigidly centralized economic programs. Population has declined nineteen percent since 2010 from internal conflicts, government persecutions and from emigration of its affluent, educated and "private wealth" classes to safe regions of the globe. The country continues to face severe food and energy shortages due to its least favored nation status and from economic boycotts by major powers. Leaving behind its advanced technology for citizen surveillance, the population is monitored now by The International Tribunal under The World Council. The country's currency has devalued 94% since its banking system and central bank fell into conservatorship to the International Trustees of the Trade Community. Precious metals, physical gold in particular, were used as black-market currencies for a period until becoming scarce.

Circumscribed in releasing recent statements by the Higher Authorities, the World Council has warned against misinterpretations about the demise of the America Empire. "Proper analysis will demonstrate the value derived from it, leading to greater understandings between nations that could not have occurred otherwise," it stated. In a controversial closing, it added, "and America will continue to lead."

A series of "test" Elections are scheduled, but no dates have been announced. Today, the recently formed International Tribunal, World Council and Trade Community supervise all economic and government functions of the American state, from their headquarters in Asia.
