Land Rover Discovery Sport EGR Design Flaw - Engine Management Warning Light On Again!
ConsumerWatch / Land Rover Feb 07, 2021 - 09:30 AM GMTThe engine management warning lights been on again for a while, not driven it much during lockdown so before taking it down to a garage and paying as much as £150 to get the code read at a dealer, I thought after some research I would give a relatively cheap OBD2 code reader bought off amazon a try, the Nexpeak NX501, https://amzn.to/36twU54, And it worked1 reads the code and more! So what did it reveal ? EGR! EGR! EGR! Bloomin EGR AGAIN! THESE LAND ROVERS ARE A NIGHTMARE WHEN IT COMES TO MAINTENANCE COSTS! EGR's are supposed to last 100,000 miles! Not less than 20,000! Blooming Discovery Sports pieces of garbage not made to last. Anyway check out my video because I am pretty sure there will be many land rover discovery sport owners out there with the SAME problem!
And do get the Nexpeak NX501 because it DOES work with the Discovery Sport, current price is about £60. Amazon links - Nexpeak NX 501 - UK https://amzn.to/36twU54 ,
