The most salient aspect to the enclosed chart of X is the week-long, bottoming-type price action between 42.00 (roughly) and 44.00. This is occurring 35% beneath the Feb high and after a stair-step decline that has the requisite number of legs to be deemed complete.

Four Socially Responsible Investment Funds To Consider / Companies / Investing 2011
Keith Fitz-Gerald writes: I look around, and I'm appalled - and not just by the banking crises, financial follies, threats of sovereign-debt default or spikes in food or gasoline prices that dominate the daily headlines.
Those problems come and go. What bothers me is the almost-total abandonment of professional judgment and ethics in Washington and on Wall Street - and the absolute lack of urgency that these problems should be attacked and fixed, once and for all.

The big kahuna of integrated oils is looking very toppy and very heavy. As we speak, Exxon Mobil (XOM) is under pressure that is probing key support between 80.00 and 78.80, which if violated should trigger downside continuation towards a test of its sharply rising 200 DMA, now at 75.54.

A Natural Gas Company Floating in Profits / Companies / Natural Gas
David Fessler writes: Australia, like America, is awash in natural gas. But Australia's gas isn't conveniently located under terra firma, near existing pipelines. We have that luxury and advantage.
Most of the gas Down Under is in giant underwater deposits, located more than 100 miles from Australia's shores. Developing some of its largest fields, far from any landmass, has been a problem without a solution... until now.

Bank Earnings Rise In Q1 2011 / Companies / Banking Stocks
On Tuesday the FDIC announced that bank earnings in Q1 2011 are improving, up 66.5% from Q1 2010. In fact bank earnings are back to Q2 2007 levels. Sounds great on the surface.
The problem is what has driven earnings is not real growth but rather an accounting gimmick. Provisions for loan losses or the amount of money reserved for future losses have fallen from $39.2 billion in Q2 2009 (the peak) to $10.3 billion in Q1 2011, a 76% reduction.
