Trading Markets, Reversals for Gold, Silver and Stocks
Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011 Aug 26, 2011 - 02:17 AM GMTClay Tom writes: Gold.. Covered short positions.. Long.. Dgp and nugt, short dzz and dust. .. See the long tail .. Sperm pattern.. That is a bottom reversal. Indicators still point down, but obv started up.
Gold .. To confirm.. Go to 5 min chart. Buying started at 8 30 a.m. today. Notice what happens when candle outside bollinger band on the downside. Large buying volume came in to reverse the down trend at $1705
Silver same idea..daily chart.. Long bottom spermy tail. Obv started.. Will there be a long rally? Just have to watch day by day. Held $38 support. This is a here and now type market.
S&p500 bearish engulfing ..overwhelming yesterdays up day..with red candle today.. Rumor no qe3 tomorrow. Large sellers in europe. Notice red sell candle with tail on top.. Macd was almost ready to cross buy, rsi never made it above 50 buy. Short the market via vix etf’s tvix. Unemployment applications increased..not much.. But was no improvement.
Vix the panic index goes up when market heads south.. On 5 min chart buying started in vix at 8 30 am..here is the daily chart. Bullish flag. Indicators never turned bearish on vix. Long tvix to short the s&p500
Bank of america.. Bac up 25% in last 2 days.. Announced to day warren buffet of berkshire investing $5 billion into bac. Seems to have been a “news leak” before today, rigged. . Warrn made $1.4 billion today already on his $5 billion. The virtual portfolio made a nice profit since yesterday..took profit earlier today. Black candle is a reversal pattern, gapped up but closing lower than the opening. I wish mr. Buffett well. If i switched to short the s&p via tvix.. I don’t want to be long bac. It would be a contradiction.
Always have to give back some during the transition from short gold to long gold and from long stock market to short stock market. That is a “whipsaw” and lots of four lettered words.
