Britain's Swine Flu Epidemic Feeds on Coalition Government Spending Cuts

Politics

The long dreaded swine flu epidemic is starting to sweep across Britain resulting in NHS critical care hospital beds filling up and some 40 deaths to date of which 36 are as a consequence of H1N1 Swine Flu. The coalition government had cut Labours Swine flu prevention advertising campaign as well as other measures that were directly aimed at preventing a swine flu epidemic.

The last Labour government had been heavily criticized for going overboard on attempting to prevent a swine flu pandemic during the past 2 years which culminated in stocking up with tens of millions of doses of Tamiflu and the creation of National Flu Helpline and website that allowed anyone to self diagnose and easily obtain a course of Tamiflu at the early stages of the illness.

Whilst 40 deaths to date does not match the pandemic worse case scenario's of 65,000 deaths, however the fact that the coalition government has cut the prevention campaign could allow the virus to have reached critical mass where far more deaths are now likely going forward given Government and NHS inaction over prevention during the past 3 months as infection rates have started to snowball by doubling every few days.

Unlike seasonal flu, H1N1 swine flu hits the young the hardest. However, on the positive side, the NHS is able to make available Labours stock pile of Tamiflu from past years and unlike during 2009 a swine flu vaccine now does exist that protects against H1N1 and 2 other flu strains, which therefore means many lives could yet be saved if only people are informed in enough time to take up vaccination.

Unfortunately the vaccination system is reliant on the post code lottery NHS GP System, which means where you live determines whether or not a member of a high risk group will be able to get vaccinated in time due to the wide disparity in health care delivery that is usually masked by official statistics but revealed in independent statistics such as the UK GP Patient Survey (http://results.gp-patient.co.uk/report/main.aspx).

Flu What to do ?

If you are in an high risk group, then at least attempt to get vaccinated.

If you have flu symptoms, call your GP and attempt to get an antiviral such as Tamiflu prescribed, though again you will be at the mercy of the postcode lottery system. Flu tends to last between 10 to 14 days.

Self treatment includes drinking lots of fluids, staying in bed, and over the counter aspirin / ibuprofen can help to reduce symptoms.

Flu Jab

I was surprised not to be invited for a flu jab for the first time in many years - I am in two of the high-risk categories, and one not listed.

Apparently the criteria for needing a jab have changed. Crazy.

I can get a jab privately for £10, which I am very happy to do. But surely even one visit to the GP with a chest-infection costs more than that? So what is going on here?

wash hands

The best protection for is to wash your hands constantly, do not touch others unless you need to and sneeze into your elbow. Last year when Swine Flu was making the the pandemic top society circles I was really impressed with the city health adverts on all transit in San Francisco reminding people keep their hands clean and sneeze into the elbow. The ads had diagrams so no one could miss learning something helpful. Touching handrail or elevator buttons then picking the nose, licking fingers or touching eyes is a great way to infect yourself.

When governments went crazy for flu vaccines last year many whined that it was a waste of resources, so this time when nothing is done I bet the same complainers are out in full force.

lansley

Lansley said on record last week that the Flu jab campaign was unnecessary because GP's will contact all those in the 'at risk' groups to offer them jabs.

This is blatantly untrue, as 'LittleTeapot' above confirms.

In my household there is a 10 year old recovering from open heart surgery, an adult asthmatic, and an adult suffering from chronic bronchitis.

NONE of these were contacted by the GP and offered a flu jab. In fact they all did receive a jab only thanx to persistent pestering of the GP surgery by myself.

Lansley has let down the public, but the GP's themselves are also to blame for their failure to act in the interests of their patients by contacting them to offer this service. I can only imagine it's because the GP's weren't given extra money to do this - so they didn't bother.

To jab or not to jab

THere are so many ways to prevent having any problems with flus and the like without putting mercury into your spine (jab adjuvents) with the internet i am very surprised that people do not investigate for themselves the quick easy and cheap and natural ways to do and prevent or cure literally anything

Vitamin d3 drops (if the govt in eu hasnt banned all vitamins for 'your protection'

10000 iu's a day every day rain or shine (except if you get good sun in a day which im sure in uk is tough especially in winter)

they will recommend 600 iu's a day... do your own research, you cannot overdose anyway. There are hundreds of papers.

Fermented water or water kefir, this will clean out metals and toxins which is a very high contributor to slowing your natural defence and stores metal in liver to protect circulating it in the body.

You can also use a product called natural defence by waiora, this has ended peoples alzheimers, adhd, dementia etc.

Why and how? it gets rid of metals in the body that disrupt brain signals which of course cause brain disfunction.

Water kefir is a natural source of vitamin c. Most tablets etc. are virtually useless and absorption rates are close to zero and yet people buy it because it says VITAMIN C on the bottle, there ferraris, and there are fords when it comes to everything.

However water kefir (Look it up) will provide all the b and c and many other things as well.

Barley water which is about the easiest thing to do will solve more problems than you can count again look this up, if you can boil then simmer water this will work for you. this will get you potassium zinc selenium etc. for a fraction of the overpriced unabsorbable garbage at the health stores.

Honey is also great. Not the garbage regular overheated honey at the store you must shop around go to the countryside etc. and get real old fashioned honey, this will give your body energy and enzymes to fight off anything

Realize dr's dont really care in any country they get paid to ways, by the number of patients they see (govt) or by # of prescriptions they fill out (big pharma bonuses)

Meds like this spin in the wrong direction for your body to understand and ALWAYS MAKE YOU WEAKER... which does what (See line above)

You must Clean out your liver, rest assured over time by doing the above you can do it.

Stop drinking sodas and eating unsoaked grains and store bought bread, eat bread for sourdough starter (old fashioned way not the commercial way)

this seems like alot to you it is not try to start one a week, you will have more energy and health and less trips to overpaked overpaid drs you really for the most part have no regard for anything but their checks

ANd get a berkey water filter to filter out chlorine, flouride etc. and drink real water they are cheap last forever and no having to buy expensive filters until the end of time

Again all of these things are the old school, natural and cheap ways. THese will even (Proven) remove kidney and gall stones and liver stones (yes your liver will collect stones, your dr i doubt even knows this) google that

You can do all of these for maximum $30 a week, have more energy and spend less on food which will actually save you money.

Above all rest and relaxation and sleep if you give it a chance it will work, some will actually cause you to be sicker... Why? because it is removing toxins or old colds/virusses etc. your body may have had for years, which when your immune system is strong will finally kick out of your body and at best as well never let back in, keeping you healthier allowing you to work more (crazy i know) and enjoy life.

You will be amazed as well at your decision making eating habits and less emotional irrational life.

All in all if you try it for 90 days you will be amazed at how easy it is and can be and wonder why you hadnt before

best regards

I hope you get well soon. I read all your articles with great interest and am always amazed at the accuracy. I salute you for sharing your analysis and benefitting countless people. I read a lot and haven't found any analyst who even comes close to your analysis. I hope one day I can also learn and contribute to make this world a better place.

My humble suggestion for any illness's cure are honey, cupping and eating black cumin seeds daily ... are excellent for prevention too. Some multivitamins before they get banned are quite useful too but no substitute for a balanced diet, good sleep and excercise. Brian has pointed out quite a few good things too.

Makes one realise that health IS wealth and become grateful for it.

Wish you a good health

I hope you are getting well and there is nothing serious considering your articles about poor NHS service and sub-standard cancer prevention.

I have experienced french medical system and NHS and have to say the difference is astonishing: french managed to preserve the choice and competition of the health service.
