Cannabis ETF MJ Basing & Volatility Patterns / Commodities / Cannabis

By: Chris_Vermeulen

Recently, the Cannabis sector has shown signs of increased volume, volatility, and a reasonably strong potential for a price base. Volume started increasing near mid-September as the price of MJ fell below $15. This support level originated from late December 2020 after a significant rally trend from recent lows near $10 – when the Reddit retail trader event started to unfold.

I wrote about this sector and these opportunities in many articles before the incredible rally in late 2020 into 2021.

The New Drug That Could Be Bigger Than Cannabis / Companies / Cannabis

By: Submissions

The global market for psychedelic drug treatments and therapy is in the early stages of what looks to be a massive shift.

A growing wave of research has shown the power of psychedelics in offering effective treatments for mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and more.

And this comes at a time when awareness of global health issues is on the rise worldwide...and as many are recognizing that psychedelics may actually be more effective than traditional treatments at treating these issues for many sufferers.

The Top 3 CBD Oils with Anti-Inflammatory Properties for Stopping Pain / Commodities / Cannabis

By: Submissions

Inflammation does good and bad things for the body. On the one hand, it is the body’s natural defense mechanism against physical injuries, viral infections, and bacterial infections. On the other hand, it produces symptoms of swelling, redness, and pain.

Whenever a part of your body experiences trauma, white blood cells flow to that body part to protect it. White blood cells will kill the germs and bacteria in the affected area, but they could also cause inflammatory cells to attack friendly cells and hormones.

Inflammation causes pain because the swollen tissues put pressure on the nerve endings. Since the nerve endings are extra sensitive, the slightest amount of pressure will inflict a lot of pain on the person.

The Current Cannabis Sector Rally Is Pointing To Another Breakout / Commodities / Cannabis

By: Chris_Vermeulen

My research team and I continue to believe the Cannabis/Alternative sector is poised for a big trend in 2021 and 2022.  Over the past few years, this sector has continued to trend lower after the hype of 2016~2018 – back when everyone was getting into the Cannabis industry as multiple US states authorized recreational and medical use.  After the 2018 peak, followed by the early 2019 moderate price recovery, this entire industry sector fell out of favor with investors for almost 2 full years.

MJ Pennant Setup Almost Complete

The peak in the MJ, Alternative Harvest ETF, in September 2018 was $45.40.  The lowest price since that peak was in March 2020 at $8.81 – that’s an 80% decline in price.  Currently, MJ is trading near $22.31 and we’ve seen a tremendous recovery after the 2020 US elections.  These elections resulted in a wave of enthusiasm for Cannabis and Alternative supply companies as it was widely expected the Democrats would move quickly to legalize Cannabis and other illegal drugs after their win.

Cannabis, Alternative Agra, Mushrooms, and Cryptos – Everything ALT is HOT / Commodities / Cannabis

By: Chris_Vermeulen

The recent rally in Marijuana and Alternative Pharma/Agriculture stocks has been impressive, to say the least.  One thing we have to remember about this sector is that it rallied to highs in 2018 and 2019, then fell out of favor for many months.  The anticipation of this new sector emerging within the US, and across many areas of the globe, prompted quite a bit of excitement after 2016 when many US states voted to legalize Marijuana. Even before this date, the alternative medicine and consumer product use related to Marijuana has been heavily speculated on by investors/traders.

If we were to consider the out-of-favor phase of this sector over the past 15+ months, after the rally/hype phase which took place in 2017 and early 2018, we’ve seen many cannabis stocks collapse 70% to 85% or more recently.  This downward price trend likely set up a number of incredible opportunities based on expanded marketplace opportunities, enterprise valuations, and longer-term consumer/pharmaceutical use applications for CBD and other chemical extracts.  Additionally, we need to also consider what would happen if a consolidation phase were to take place in this industry – how would cannabis leaders play a role in acquiring smaller, yet important, firms with innovative technology/solutions.

2021 May Be A Good Year For The Cannabis / Marijuana Sector / Companies / Cannabis

By: Chris_Vermeulen

Great progress in terms of legalization was made for the Cannabis/Marijuana sector in 2020 that will.  The 2020 elections resulted in a number of US states engaging in new Cannabis friendly policies and laws being approved by voters. This suggests a new rally in the Cannabis sector may be setting up in 2021 and beyond for traders. Our BAN – Best Asset Now – trading strategy is always looking out for the next sector to make a trade, and the Cannabis sector is certainly one we are keeping our eyes on! Understanding the Benefits of Cannabis Tea  / Personal_Finance / Cannabis

By: Dylan_Moran

Most of us use cannabis for their recreational and medicinal properties. As marijuana continues to become more mainstream, the most common consumption methods are still smoking, vaping, or in the form of edibles. Consumption of marijuana in the form of tea is far less common. However, experts suggest that this form relieves consumers from some of the most well-known risks of smoking.

It is important, however, to remember that marijuana tea is not a new invention by any means. In many ancient cultures, marijuana-infused brews were used extensively because of its anti-inflammatory and anesthetic properties. These teas were used as treatments for conditions such as headaches, nausea, childbirth, epilepsy, and others.

Canadian Cannabis Stocks CRASH as Canopy Growth Hits a Dead End / Companies / Cannabis

By: Stephen_McBride

It was supposed to be a routine police raid…

But when the cops stormed an illegal pot operation in California earlier this year, even grizzled veterans were shocked by what they found.

They went in expecting to confiscate marijuana plants from a farm. Instead, they found a pot factory cranking out 500 pounds of pot a day. That’s nearly enough pot to supply all legal pot shops in California!

As you may know, California legalized recreational pot in 2018… an act that was supposed to put an end to the illegal pot black market. Instead, the total opposite has happened. Black market pot is thriving.

Pot Stocks Crash – Why Cannibals Stocks Will Never Recover / Companies / Cannabis

By: Stephen_McBride

For much of the past century marijuana has been a “Schedule 1 drug.” It was put alongside dangerous drugs like heroin.

The business of growing, processing, and selling marijuana was conducted in the shadows, illegally.

But as you probably know, the laws are changing.

Now a dozen US states have completely opened up the market for marijuana. Even if you live where marijuana is still illegal, you’ve likely heard a lot about “pot stocks.”

Internet marketers have promoted the heck out of this exciting new industry. You’ve probably seen ads promising to make you a “pot stock millionaire”…

Cannabis Stocks: Don't Let Your Opportunity Go Up in Smoke / Commodities / Cannabis

By: EWI

Here's when society expresses greater acceptance toward marijuana

In the 1973 song "The Joker," the Steve Miller Band sang:

"I'm a joker. I'm a smoker. I'm a midnight toker."

Of course, "midnight toker" referred to pot smoking. Back then, there were plenty of midnight tokers, but most of them feared getting "busted."

Thirty years later, in 2003, the Elliott Wave Theorist predicted:

"Eventually, possession and sale of recreational drugs will be decriminalized."

Then, in July 2009, The Socionomist (the monthly publication of the Socionomics Institute, a sister organization of Elliott Wave International) published a study titled "The Coming Collapse of Modern Prohibition," which reviewed the repeal of Prohibition during the bear market psychology of the early 1930s.

Marijuana Stocks Ready for Another Massive Rally? / Companies / Cannabis

By: Chris_Vermeulen

Our research team has been actively discussing the potential that the entire Marijuana stock sector could be setting up for another upside price rally.  Since the bottom set up in the US stock market near December 24, 2018, many of the cannabis-related stocks and ETFs have seen incredible upside recoveries (of 25% or more).  We believe the current setup in MJ, the Alternative Harvest ETF, is indicative of a new bullish momentum breakout.

The upside potential for this move is likely 12~25% or more over a short span of time.  Watching MJ move from $34 to $39 over the next few weeks could result in a 14%+ move where a breakout of $39 to the upside could see MJ retesting recent highs near $45 (a +32% upside move).

How A NASA Scientist Could Trigger The Next Cannabis Boom / Companies / Cannabis

By: OilPrice_Com

Marijuana spent this year finding its feet. It may spend next year surfing a big wave of profits.

Marijuana 1.0 was all about the legalization drive, the dumping of billions of dollars of cash into the industry and mouthwatering, legitimizing mergers and consolidations—but it was a jockeying exercise in capacity expansion.

Marijuana 2.0 could be just as big a deal—it’s about the technological tweaks that will actually make this industry profitable.

Are These the New Leaders of the Pot Market? / Companies / Cannabis

By: Rodney_Johnson

The SEC, the government watchdog, and TDAmeritrade, the self-service brokerage firm, recently issued warnings about buying into the pot industry hype.

Watch out!, they tell us. The pot industry is filled with high-flying stocks, overbought companies, and outright scams. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

I think we’ll find our way out of the forest, thank you very much.

I wonder how such companies would compare to Pets.com from the 1990s, or Enron, or even WorldCom, for that matter.
