Agri-Food Stocks Investment Opportunities Ahead / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
Fortunately for investors the majority of the world does not allow either bumbling Bernanke or wealth confiscating Obama Regime to manage economic policy for them. What that means is that once one departs the shores of the U.S., leaving its wealth destroying policies and laws behind, economic growth is possible. That reality allows investors to find economic sectors that are benefiting from economic growth.

Federal Reserve Inflating Bubbles Pushing Agri-Foods to New Highs / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
Readily acknowledged is that first action of new U.S. Congress should be to call for resignations of all members of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.. Their irresponsible acts to date have clearly violated their mandate to provide a healthy economic environment. With Federal Reserve Bubble III, manifesting itself in the inflated and unnatural values for non dollar currencies, distorting the global economic system, they must be removed immediately and most recent policy action nullified.

Surging Corn Prices Making Hay for Commodities Producers / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
Jason Simpkins, writes: Corn prices have surged more than 70% since May and could rise even higher in coming weeks. Prices will remain elevated for at least the next year, perhaps even testing their 2008 record high of $7.65 a bushel. That will likely mean higher food prices across the board for at least the next year.
Money Morning predicted in May that after falling below $3.50 per bushel in March, corn prices would surge higher than $6 by the end of the year. That forecast has proven prescient, as corn rose to a two-year high earlier this month.

Profit from Rising Food Prices with MOO and DBA ETFs / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
Here’s a question for you … and I’m pretty sure your answer is “Yes.” The question is: Do you eat?
Food is a basic necessity of life. We all need to eat. Some of us eat more than others do, of course. Sadly, some people live in places where there simply isn’t enough food to go around.

MOO, Not Just for Cows, Market Vectors Agribusinesses ETF / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
The agriculture stocks have been moving up aggressively since the end of June. The initial push came on the drought issues in Russia and wheat production. Then BHP started a hostile takeover bid for POT and the race was on. The buyout set a benchmark or valuation for the agri-chemical businesses. The corn crops in the US were below expectations and thus corn prices have moved higher. This all begs the question – is the run higher done? Is the risk of ownership in the sector too high? The bottom line is demand, and we all know that demand puts pressure on price and for now that demand is likely to remain.Read full article... Read full article...

Food Prices Spiraling Higher, Grains Feed Meat Prices / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
Businesses, be they purveyors of adult beverages or farms, are different from governments. Governments can, in most cases, print money to pay their expenses, or borrow near unlimited amounts to do so. Businesses, however, must take in sufficient money to cover their input costs, the expenses of labor, and earn a fair return on their invested capital. If current prices do not allow for that, the price of the business's service or products must rise.

Munching sound in back ground is that of locusts as they make Australia their Spring snack. Australia is in the process of preparing for war against the worst locust swarms in 75 years. Agri-Foods Alternative Investment to Gold Going Parabolic / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
With $Gold clearly in a parabolic formation, investors may need to realistically appraise their investing activities. $Gold is likely to suffer inevitable consequences of disappointment that follows from a parabolic move. Investors may want to direct their investment flows elsewhere. With Agri-Food prices marching higher, that sector of investment world is an attractive offensive alternative.

Agricultural Commodities Trading, Will Grains Gain OR Wane? / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
Over the past few months, leading grain prices have climbed up the commodity wall like a "mile-a-minute" kudzu vine. From late June to early August, the big three grain markets (wheat, corn, and soybeans) soared 40%-plus in a coordinated rally to multi-year highs before leveling off.
The question on the minds of market participants is simple: Is the grains' uptrend set to end?

Agri-Food Price Index Makes New High! / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
One road to wealth is to only own those assets for which the price is rising. That seems to be a rule that equity investors have forgotten. In any event, a great market technician once suggested only looking at those things with prices making new 52-week highs. His reasoning was that for the price of something to rise it must eventually make a new high. Well, based on the above chart, that technician would be all over Agri-Food commodities and associated investments. Our Agri-Food Price Index recently made a new high!

How to Profit From the Russian Wheat Shortage / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
JACK BARNES writes: Russian wheat farmers have a tough life.
Having grown up on a working farm in Oregon, I understand this all too well. Those days taught me a lot about hard work and patience. Four decades later, as I read news stories about the current travails of Russian wheat farmers, the memories of getting up on wet winter mornings for the pre-dawn goat milking - or having to drive a tractor when I was only six years old - engender a lot of empathy for the difficult challenges the wheat farmers face.

Climate Change, Floods, Droughts, Food Prices and the Inflation Mega-trend / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
Food prices are soaring with wheat up more than 50% in a month whilst the mainstream press looks for answers in triggering events such as the Russian drought and wild fires, Pakistan flooding whilst it's President Zadari holidays in Britain with an eye on eventually treating himself to a British passport. However rising food prices as a consequence of climate change, population growth and the rise of asian per capita consumption are just part of the manifestation of the unfolding multi-decade long Inflation megatrend.

China Raises the Floor for Agri Food Investments / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
Last we talked on Agri-Food part of our discussion was drought in Russia and wetness in Canada. Mother Nature just does not understand that just in time inventory management requires the weather to be properly scheduled. Or, perhaps humans should come to understand that just in time inventory is fine for electronic connectors, but does not work with wheat or corn or soybeans or any of the other Agri-Foods. While many things are made in factories, Agri-Foods are not. The lost portion of the Russian wheat harvest will not be replaced till 2011.

The Agricultural Sector is Heating Up, Big Gains in Grains / Commodities / Agricultural Commodities
The agricultural sector is heating up again. Sugar is leading the way, but grains are doing well, too, on expectations of bigger imports in China and bad harvests in some of the world’s grain baskets. You can play this move and make a bet on sugar, soybeans, corn, wheat and more. And you don’t have to trade futures to do it.
