Thomas Cook's Fall from Grace - A Cautionary Tale for the Entire Global Economy / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Since its very first 11-mile train tour on July 5, 1841, the Thomas Cook travel company has been taking adventure-seekers around the world, from river cruises down the Nile (a.k.a. "Cook's Canal"), railcars up to the mouth of Mount Vesuvius, and spaceships to the surface of the moon! (Between 1950 to 1996, Cook's "Moon Registry" had a 100,000-flight manifest).
But on September 23, 2019, Thomas Cook filed for one of the most dismantling bankruptcies in recent history, shuddering the world's oldest travel firm and leaving hundreds of thousands of travelers high and dry. The stranding prompted the UK's largest-ever peace time repatriation effort, a 10-day long, 60 million-pound rescue effort coined Operation Matterhorn.

General Motors: The Price Action is Key for World Indices / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Most of the World Indices have ended the cycle from the post-2009 Financial crisis low. But still, there are few Indices which are due for another cycle higher. SPX and SPY are running in an Elliott Wave Impulse structure. We at Elliott Wave Forecast believe in the idea of combining other Financial Instruments and relate them with each other. Consequently, we combine also cycles to each other. As we do understand that most of the time the Financial Market works, as a whole.
Recently, we did a blog about the SPY showing the increased volatility. We explained how the Index can be doing a new high and can turn lower in a higher degree wave (IV). The most significant low in most of the Indices is the 12/2018. Above from there, the price action seems to unfold as an Impulse.

Boeing (BA): Forming the Biggest Peak Since 2003 lows / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
The Stock is trading within a very technical area and it is showing a very clear 5 waves advance Elliott wave structure from its 2013 lows. When a 5 waves structure can be seen we always should be careful and pay attention to the direction of the 5 waves. Accordingly, to the Elliott Wave Theory after a 5 waves move there should be a pullback in 3 waves coming soon. The Boeing Company has been in the news lately because of an unfortunate accident related to their top-selling Aircraft which is the 737 MAX 8 jet. An Ethiopian Airlines flight crashed on Sunday only five months after the Lion Air Boeing crash in Indonesia killing 189 people.

Save Fintech? Ban Short Selling. It's Not That Simple / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
By Murray Gunn and Brian WhitmerThe pinhole puncture in the global "Fintech" bubble keeps growing, despite drastic attempts to seal it shut. The most recent and radical attempt occurred on February 18, when BaFin, Germany's financial regulator, issued a temporary short-selling ban in Wirecard after its shares plunged 40% in less than three weeks. Wrote one news source, "Germany bans speculative attacks on Wirecard stock", as if those shorting the market were wielding pitch forks and lobbing actual threats against the stock's upside.
Incredibly, vilifying short sellers is as old as the market itself. The first short-selling ban occurred in 1610, after the Dutch East India Company crashed. Notorious short-seller Isaac Le Maire was barred from the market, leaving Amsterdam a pariah. In the 1790s, Napoleon Bonaparte charged short sellers with treason during the financial chaos of the French Revolution.

Elliott Wave Analysis of YY Inc (YY) / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
The recent rally from the lows made in December 2018 appears to be in 3 waves, so I suspected it a 4th wave as part of either idea, at this stage, I would still expect to see a new low based on both of the ideas. The difference is that one idea will end an impulse wave (5 wave decline) and complete the decline from the highs made in Jan 2018. The other idea would still see a bounce, however a new low thereafter would be favored.I can see the pros and cons for both ideas, but I would turn more bullish from a new low as even the less bullish idea (idea 2) would imply a rally again for wave [4]. So it would present a bullish opportunity below the lows made in December around $54.00 - 49.00.
