Bank of America Stock trend is still full steam ahead / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
It is not hard to find bearish fundamentals for Bank Of America (BAC), yet this stock has doubled in a few short months as it represents the degree of control the central planners have on the stock market. If BAC is up then central planners are in control. It is time to review BAC's trend.

Apple Stock Price Parabolic Move Compared to Past Parabolic Trends / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
In the first chart below I have included a weekly chart of the Nasdaq 100. Beginning at the 4-year cycle low that occurred in October 1998, we can see that price rose sharply into February 1999. In fact, in that 4 month period this index moved from a low of 1,063.74 up to 2,150.83. This was a 102% advance in only 4 months. As we moved into October of 1999 this advance was much more modest, but still managed to advance another 400 points during this time period and in doing so the Nasdaq 100 had advanced 143% in a mere 12 months. As this move received more and more attention more and more people jumped on the bandwagon with the hottest tech stock. As a result, a bubble began to form. From the October low at 2,299.95 the Nasdaq then advanced another 2,516. 39 points over the next 5 months. It was at this point that the advance went parabolic and in some 17 months the Nasdaq 100 had altogether advanced from the 1998 4-year cycle low at 1,063.74 into the March 2000 high at 4,816.34 for a total advance of 352.77%. From that high the Nasdaq 100 fell back to 795.25, which totally erased the entire move up from the 1998 4-year cycle low in which the dot-com bubble began and I still remember people talking about the tech stocks and why tech was back at the 2002 bottom. To date the Nasdaq 100 is still off of its high by some 40%.

Apples Do Fall From The Trees, Now Not the time to Buy AAPL or Silver / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Question we are pondering today is whether or not investors do learn from their prior mistakes. Small children learn lessons, such as not to touch the hot stove again. They remember that lesson all of their lives. Humans spend a considerable part of their lives learning and remembering such lessons. However, when some well learned children grow into investors they seem to develop a mental block that prevents learning. Chart below of the price of Apple's stock over the past year suggests that something, perhaps it is greed, has interfered again with the learning process. Trees do not grow to the sky, and apples do ultimately fall from the trees.

Buffett's Bursting Berkshire Bubble / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
The gold doomsayers have found their champion in the media's favorite financial advisor and one of the world's richest men. Warren Buffett, the man dubbed the "Oracle of Omaha," has repeatedly and publicly denied that gold is an investment, and called gold buyers "speculators" and people "who fear almost all other assets." In fact, Buffett claims that gold's rise has the same characteristics as the housing and dot-com bubbles, and it is only a matter of time before it reverses course. He doesn't mean that the price will decline because of austerity measures and a free-market interest rate, mind you. He just asserts that because he's deemed it a bubble, it will inevitably burst.

Oracle in Early Stages of Next Advance / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Based on my intermediate work, Oracle (ORCL) ended a major bear phase at its Dec 21 low of 24.91 off of its 33.81 high from last October 27. The upmove from 24.91 to the Feb 2 high at 29.25 completed the first upmove in a major recovery rally period.
The minor pullback to the Feb 15 low at 27.90 ended the correction of the prior upmove, which if accurate means that since the Feb 15 low at 27.90 ORCL should be in the early stages of a second major recovery advance that will hurdle key Feb resistance at 29.07-29.25 on the way to 30.80-31.20 thereafter.

Keith Fitz-Gerald writes: Shares of Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) are taking a breather, leaving many investors wondering if they've made an iBoo-Boo.

Amazon Stock Countertrend Rally / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Yesterday's plunge in Amazon (AMZN) changed my perception of the strength of the rally off of the Dec 29 low at 166.97. As of this moment, my pattern work argues that a complex corrective counter-trend rally is in progress that should propel AMZN to 190-193, but which likely will be followed by another loop to the downside that revisits the Dec 29 low.

Bank of America Downtrend Still Intact / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Apart from the fact that Bank of America (BAC) is up 3% the day after it hit a low 4.93 yesterday, the lowest level since March 2009, let's notice that current strength has not inflicted any meaningful technical damage to the nearest-term downtrend -- at least not yet.
BAC must hurdle and sustain above 5.23 to inflict preliminary technical damage. However, upside continuation that climbs above 5.29/30 to hurdle my 30-period exponential moving average is needed to really get my attention on the long side of BAC.

Pigs 'R' Us - The Wall Street Groupon IPO / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
And it is...
When I play cards with the little girls, they make up new rules on the fly and sometimes cheat outrageously, palming cards and sneaking money from my pile of coins, so that we all laugh about it. They know that I know, and that I am being tolerant. They enjoy sneaking up on me, and jumping out of cupboards and behind doors. And I always act surprised, but never am.

General Moly - The Ulimate Coinfidence Stock / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Several Days I wrote an article on a fantastic stock, General Moly (GMO). General Moly is in the home stretchof being permitted. The Record of Decision (ROD) is drawing to a conclusion and while the water rights were approved, they were appealed. When the town had a hearing on the appeal they had about two hundred chairs to make sure everyone that wanted to attend would be comfortable. Well two ranchers showed up and as it turned out their ranches are not in the vicinity that would be impacted by the mine. I can only conclude that they see money and want some.

U.S. Steel to Retest Resistance / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Despite some soft China PMI data overnight, U.S. Steel (X) is up nearly 1% as it climbs towards a retest of key trendline resistance at 45.25, which if hurdled should trigger upside continuation towards the top of its May-July base formation (46.40-47.10).
A sustained hurdle of 47.10 will complete the base pattern and trigger upside projections of 50 and 52 thereafter.

JPM and TBT Poised for Upside Reversal / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
If the directional overlay of the big money center banks -- i.e., JP Morgan (JPM) -- on the ProShares UltraShort 20+ Year Treasury (TBT) is any gauge, then the mature downtrend in both JPM and the TBT is poised for a powerful upside reversal.
The TBT hit its low on July 12 at 31.87 and has climbed to 33.25, while JPM hit a new multi-month low today at 38.93, but has recovered to 39.50 so far.

Recovery Scenario in Jeopardy for JPM / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Purely from a technical perspective, my pattern work in JP Morgan (JPM) has been arguing that the late-June upmove from 39.20 to 41.72 represented the end of a major correction off of the Feb 16 high at 48.36 and the start of a powerful intermediate-term recovery period.
