By: Profit_Confidential

Mitchell Clark writes: If there’s one company that has been a stalwart wealth creator on the stock market it’s Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST).

Welcome to the Internet Industrial Revolution - Some People Will Get Stinking Rich / Companies / Internet

By: Money_Morning

Michael A. Robinson writes: You've heard stories about him before - the savvy stock analyst who gets his hands on the hottest new smartphone before Verizon's first bulk order ships... only to smash it to bits so he can see what's inside.

The idea is simple: If you know which company manufactures a small - but key - component in the product, you can invest in it and make a bundle.

Small-Cap Stocks to Buy as the Little Guys Crush the Big Boys / Companies / Investing 2013

By: Money_Morning

Don Miller writes: When it comes to stocks, it's easy to equate size with quality. But over the past year, smaller has been better, which means you need to be looking for small-cap stocks to buy.

In fact, the market's practically screaming that you should be putting some chips to work in the small-cap arena.

Apple’s Attempt to Enter Emerging Markets a Blunder? / Companies / Tech Stocks

By: Profit_Confidential

George Leong writes: When the next-generation Apple Inc. (NASDAQ/AAPL) “iPhone 5S” and “iPhone 5C” were launched in mid-September, the company reported record sales over its first weekend of selling.

But there was a problem: the majority of the sales were for the iPhone 5S, while sales of the iPhone 5C lagged. The problem was the cost of the plastic-cased 5C; at around $100.00 with a two-year contract, the “cheaper” version simply cost too much, especially for the emerging markets like China, where Apple had high hopes for the iPhone 5C.

Expect Stormy Q3 Corporate Earnings Season as Washington’s Maelstrom Proceeds / Companies / Corporate Earnings

By: PhilStockWorld

“I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it.” -- Pablo Picasso

So now the fun really begins.

That is, if you consider fun the sort of thing that happens when Wall Street has way too much information to process in a very short period of time.

Investing in Frontier Markets Like Investing in China in 1980! / Companies / Emerging Markets

By: Money_Morning

David Zeiler writes: An axiom of investing is that those who get in on great opportunities early make the most money.

Knowing how to invest in frontier markets gives you one of those great, rare opportunities. And it's early enough in the game that most of the profits are still well off into the future.

Obamacare Bust a Buying Opportunity for Stock Market Investors? / Companies / Healthcare Sector

By: Profit_Confidential

George Leong writes: Obamacare is here after the Affordable Care Act was signed into law in March 2010. The Act dictates that all Americans, poor and rich, will need to have some form of insurance coverage.

Americans can select the appropriate level for them from the four levels of coverage—bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. The actual coverage in each plan is the same, with the difference being the deductable you have to pay. Moving from the bronze level to the platinum level, the deductable declines but the initial amount paid for the plan increases. Some Americans may be eligible for government assistance, depending on their financial situation, of course.

What to Expect with 3Q Earnings: Little Growth, Lots of Cost-Cutting / Companies / Corporate Earnings

By: Profit_Confidential

Mitchell Clark writes: In what can only be described as a repeat of so many earnings reports last quarter, Paychex, Inc. (PAYX) beat Wall Street consensus earnings but missed on revenues. It’s the same old story: very little real growth with strong cost-cutting padding earnings. The company’s full-year outlook remained unchanged.

In the 90s, Paychex was an outstanding wealth creator on the stock market, posting consistently strong revenue and earnings growth annually. For many companies, a business matures and competition becomes fierce. However, the payroll/benefits outsourcing business is a good one, even in a slow-growth economy. For Paychex, there still is top-line growth.

It appears to be the correct timing for BlackBerry. (See “Research In Motion Had Better Be Right.”) And for BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Gerhard Heins, he could get a $20.0-million send-off for selling the company.
