Why These Stock Market Indicators Should Grab Your Full Attention / Stock-Markets / Stock Market 2021
The McClellan Summation Index has been "in a clearly defined downtrend since late December"
Many Main Street investors only pay attention to the daily trading closes of the main stock indexes.
But those who fall in that camp are missing out on a lot of valuable insights regarding the strength or weakness of a trend. In other words, when it comes to the stock market, it pays to "look under the hood."
For example, on Friday (March 26), all three major indexes rallied with the S&P 500 climbing 1.7% to hit a record closing high. Those who glance at the stock market headlines may have concluded "all systems go."

Rising Debt Means a Weaker US Dollar / Currencies / US Dollar
Americans appear to be growing more concerned about the skyrocketing national debt level – officially $28.1 trillion and counting.
The Peter G. Peterson Foundation’s monthly Fiscal Confidence Index recently shed five points, dropping to a level of 47, in the wake of the Biden Administration’s latest $2 trillion stimulus package.
That $2 trillion bill is simply piled on top of already massive budget deficits.
And it adds furthers to concerns over the country’s currency, the Federal Reserve Note “dollar.”

Another Gold Stocks Upleg / Commodities / Gold and Silver Stocks 2021
The gold miners’ stocks suffered a rocky start to 2021, rolling over into an extended correction after a young upleg prematurely failed. The resulting deeper lows left sentiment overwhelmingly bearish, with this contrarian sector deeply out of favor. But over the last five weeks or so, gold stocks have powered higher again in another young upleg. This one has a far-stronger foundation given the underlying gold setup.
The leading and dominant gold-stock benchmark and trading vehicle remains the GDX VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF. It held $14.2b in net assets in the middle of this week, a massive 30.6x bigger than the next-largest 1x-long major-gold-miners-ETF competitor! Several weeks ago I analyzed the top 25 GDX gold miners’ latest quarterly results, which revealed this sector now enjoys incredibly-strong fundamentals.
While gold averaged $1,876 per ounce in the recently-reported Q4’20, the big GDX gold miners reported average all-in sustaining costs of $1,038 per ounce. That implied stellar $838-per-ounce profit margins! That fantastic profitability fueled record revenues, adjusted earnings, operating cash flows, and treasuries at the GDX-top-25 gold miners. That was their sixth quarter in a row of soaring mid-double-digit earnings growth!

Overclockers UK Build Quality - Why Glue Fan to CPU Heat sink Instead of Using Supplied Clips? / Personal_Finance / Computing
So during the unboxing of a £1000 student gaming machine from Overclockers UK we straightaway noticed that the fan had been glued onto the CPU heat sink, why would they do that? After all Raijintek the manufacturer will have supplied clips to do that (CPU Cooler Raijintek Themis Black Heatpipe CPU Cooler PWM - 120mm ). So in this video we contemplate why Overclockers would do that as that is not the intended why the fan is supposed to be mounted onto the heat sink, watch the video and share your thoughts in the comments below.

NVIDIA Stock ARMED and Dangeorus! / Companies / Tech Stocks
Where Nvidia is concerned there is good news and then there is GREAT news! The Good news is just as I stated when Nvidia launched their RTX 3000 series of GPU's in September 2020, is that it would allow Nvidia to literally PRINT MONEY, sell as many GPU cores as Nvidia can produce, which has been the case for the past 6 months since launch! YOU JUST CANNOT BUY AN RTX 3080! I should know as I am still waiting for the latest additional to my computer room to materialise, an RTX 3080 5950x 64gb system that hopefully should be making an appearance by Mid March after being bought and paid for early January.
As for the GREAT news, or should I say potential great news is Nvidia's $40 billion bid for ARM, which if successful would solidify Nvidia into being up rated to becoming PRIMARY AI STOCK! No longer a sidelines GPU player but PRIMARY, and likely soon to be trading on similar $1trillion+ market caps as the other primaries on my list.
But it is going to take time to overcome all the regulatory and national security road blocks on the way to ARM acquisition success, where we are so far 6 months down the path, and likely at least another year to go. I expect such uncertainty to continue to act as a damper on the prospects for Nvidia as the market reacts to M&A good and bad news events along the way and despite continuing GPU market success.

Gold Mining Stocks: A House Built on Shaky Ground / Commodities / Gold and Silver Stocks 2021
It’s tempting to say that miners are showing strength compared to gold based on the GDX’s performance, but other mining proxies say otherwise.
Just because a house is standing doesn't mean its foundations are solid, and that's exactly the case with the miners.
There’s one extra thing that I would like to point out about mining stocks’ technical picture today (Apr. 8), and that’s their performance relative to gold.

Stock Market On the Verge of a Pullback / Stock-Markets / Stock Market 2021
S&P 500 is still consolidating Monday‘s sharp gains, showered with liquidity. Yet it seems that eking out further gains is getting harder as the price action took the index quite far from its key moving averages. If I had to pick one sign of stiffer headwinds ahead, it would be the tech sector‘s reaction to another daily retreat in Treasury yields – the sector didn‘t rally, and neither did the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Value stocks saved the day, and it appears we‘re about to see them start doing better again, relatively speaking.
Yes, the risk-reward ratio for the bulls is at unsavory levels in the short run. What about being short at this moment then? It all depends upon the trading style, risk tolerance and time horizon. I‘m not looking for stocks making a major top here as the bull run is intact thanks to:
(..) Well, liquidity and bets on the stocks benefiting from the coming infrastructure bill.
Any way you look at it, the market breadth is positive and ready to support the coming upswing continuation, even though I look for a largely sideways day in stocks on Tuesday given the aptly called fireworks to happen yesterday. Sizable long profits in stock market trades #6 and #7 have been taken off the table – 149 points in my Standard money managements, and 145 points in the Advanced money management that comes on top.
My prognosis for yesterday‘s session materialized, and we have seen quite a record number (around 95%) of stocks trading above their 200-day moving averages, which is similar to the setup right after the post-dotcom bubble bear market 2002/3 lows, or 1-2 years after the bull market run off the Mar 2009 lows. Hard to say which one is more hated, but I see the run from Mar 2020 generational low as the gold medal winner, especially given the denial accompanying it since.

Most Money Managers Gamble With Your Money / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2021
I really wonder how many of you that read this article entrust your hard-earned money to money managers? My next question is, of those that do, how many of you really understand your money managers' approach to managing money? And, my last question is if you believe that your money managers' goals are not aligned with yours?
Since the first question I asked at the start of this article is more rhetorical in nature, as I simply cannot answer it, I will move to the second question.
Of late, I have been reading articles published by money managers and I have honestly scratched my head. In fact, if you have been reading articles by them over the last 12 months, you would likely be scratching your head as well.

Don’t Be Fooled by the Stock Market Rally / Stock-Markets / Stock Market 2021
Markets tend to move in cycles. They typically experience cyclical pullbacks after trending higher for a long period of time. Rarely do markets move straight up or straight down.
The stock market has, however, essentially moved straight up since the March 2020 mini-crash. As the market moves higher, an increasing number of “analysts” are calling for even higher equity prices.
Just last week, in fact, an analyst called for the broad market S&P 500 index to double by 2030.
Calls for an 8000 S&P do not seem quite as farfetched as they did just a year ago. That is the power of greed (and wishful thinking) at work.

Gold and Latin: Twin Pillars of Western Rejuvenation / Commodities / Gold and Silver 2021
After Brexit, there has been a growing number of voices within the European Union and among various nationalistic groups arguing that English should be replaced as the official language since now only Ireland and Malta retain English.
The loudest quarter calling for a change has come from the French who, not surprisingly, want their own tongue to become the lingua franca of the EU. Eric Zemmour, a French conservative commentator, asserts, “I think this is the time to launch a counter-offensive in favour of French, to recall that French was the original language of EU institutions.”*
A return to French, however, has its difficulties with other nationalist groups particularly those from the EU’s dominant economic power, Germany.

Stronger US Dollar Reacts To Global Market Concerns – Which ETFs Will Benefit? Part II / Currencies / US Dollar
In this second part of our exploration of the recent US Dollar rally and what it may be reacting to in relation to the current US stock market highs and continued rally, we will explore some of the underlying factors that are translating into US Dollar strength while the US stock market continues to push higher.
In the first part of this research article, we highlighted the US Dollar reaction to the 2008-09 credit market crisis and how the US Dollar actually started to bottom/rally in early 2008 – just as the rollover top in the US stock markets continued to setup. The way the US Dollar reacts to stress factors in the global markets is to strengthen as a safe haven as capital is constantly seeking the best environment for investment and profits. When the markets enter a period of turmoil, the US Dollar typically begins to strengthen before the global markets really begin to react to the fear or turmoil.
The recent news of large financial institutions and hedge funds taking large losses and closing operations is somewhat similar to the Lehman event of 2008. These types of larger corporate debt collapses have wide-range global market effects. Sometimes, these events can ripple into other global corporations who engaged in this level of financing or credit functions. For example, Credit Suisse’s attempt to recoup potential losses from the Greensill collapse may be a very complicated and fruitless process according to a recent Wall Street Journal article.
