Yet Donald Trump correct — Lyndon Johnson passed legislation limiting political activity of churches and has lead to the systematic exclusion of religious political speech. Yet the Johnson amendment survived court challenges in 1983, 1990 and 2000, according to Pew. Such perversion of fundamental rights endowed by God and subverted by government illustrates that the nature of politics defies the only legitimate authority, which any society can derive and claim its moral authority upon.

How much is gold really worth?  The answer we get depends on who we ask and what their opinion is.

Everyone has an opinion as to what something is worth, whether the object of consideration is their home, a late grandfather’s pocket watch, or a specific stock.  In that respect, gold is no different. 

The price of a specific item or asset at any given time is a reflection of all those varying opinions. Some are based on fundamentals, some are based on technical factors. But the combination of all the opinions, and the resulting expectations (some expect the price to go up, others expect it to go down or remain the same), plus all of the other known factors at the time that might possibly impact the price, provide us with the clearest possible indication of current value for the item in question: its market price.

President Donald Trump has finally unveiled his broad blueprint for tax reform. Well, at least let’s call it a sketchy outline of one. It would take the top income tax rate for small businesses from 35% to 15%. Theoretically, a business that makes $500k in taxable income, which had been paying roughly $175k in Federal taxes, would then pay closer to $75k. This means our business in this example, which saved 100k in Federal taxes, would have to grow its taxable income to $1,166.666, or by 133% to provide the government with revenue neutrality.

Proclamation after proclamation has failed, and the detested dollar much to their angst and surprise has continued to trend higher. Inflation has not taken off as they expected; well at least based on the distorted figures the government issues. The masses believe this data is real and that is all that matters in the end. Truth or a lie is based on a perception and perceptions are driven by emotions, which means that everything is up for debate. What holds true today might not hold true tomorrow or what is deemed valid today might be deemed as rubbish tomorrow.

In the 4/17/17 Market Update I wrote of a low-low-high interval pointing to a high on 5/11/17.

The lows of July 8, 1932 and December 9, 1974 were arguably the two most important lows of the 20th century. They lie 15,494 days apart. Adding an additional 15,494 days to the 1974 low points to a high on May 11, 2017.

In the 4/24/17 Market Update I wrote of a Hybrid Lindsay forecast pointing to a high in the period May 8-11.

The photos of rescue workers helping victims without gloves immediately invalidated the narrative, as the rescue workers would be dead if they handled sarin gas victims without protective gear.
