e-Mini S&P Pressing Against Support / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
With just over two hours remaining in today’s session, let’s notice that the S&P 500 emini futures is pressing against key support at 1039, which represents the lower channel trendline off of the July low. If the index closes today’s session either leaning against or below 1039, then the technical set-up will take on a considerably more bearish tilt that will point towards additional weakness into the 1032 area directly.

Global Stocks Markets Navigating Eye of the Financial Crisis Hurricane / Stock-Markets / Financial Crash
As global stock markets navigate through the eye of the ongoing financial hurricane, it becomes increasingly important for investors still impacted by these markets to be able to gauge when the storm’s fury will reassert itself and plan accordingly. By all measures, there are a healthy number of individual investors still in the stock markets in one way or another who are hoping to recover everything lost in 2008.

We are running out of time. Time is more important than price. When a cycle top or bottom is due the Stock Market will turn regardless if price targets have been reached.

We had a nice one day plus pullback from yesterday's highs. 200 Dow points from high to low. Nice selling when we suddenly ran into the 20-day exponential moving average on the S&P 500 at 1043 (1045 low today).

Stock Market Rally Mission Accomplished / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bear Market
Now that the stock market has moved over 50% higher in the past 6 months, there are two words that would best describe where we are now: "mission accomplished". Of course, we all remember President George W. Bush in the early months of the Iraq War standing on the deck of a Navy ship with those two words emblazoned on a banner in the background. Little did we know, that "mission accomplished" really meant mission just getting started. In any case, I use those words because the Federal Reserve and Treasury have engineered a recovery and in particular, a stock market recovery, that has brought prices back to levels seen in early October, 2008 when Lehman Brothers collapsed sending the world economy into a tailspin (sic: sorry words of the "media").

Is this a bull or bear market? After a rally of more than 50% by the S&P 500, some investors are debating the question of bull market versus bear market. Moreover, those of us who have benefited from this rally are taking the prudent step to evaluate whether this is a bull or bear market.

Stock Market, A Peter Pan Market / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bear Market
Only in Never Never Land can age and gravity be defied. In the real world such ideas may be described as “escapist fantasies”.
There has been much debate in recent weeks regarding whether US Equities have entered a new Primary Bull Trend or whether we have been witnessing a bounce in a Primary Bear Trend.

Overbought Stock Market Corrects on Positive Fed Statement / Stock-Markets / US Stock Markets
The market has been very overbought for quite some time. Sometimes it gets ridiculous to be blunt. Staying at levels of overbought you just don't see very often. We can see that, not only on the index charts, but on many regular stock charts such as Apple Inc. (AAPL) and Google Inc. (GOOG) to name just a few. Both of those issues printed, on the daily charts, RSI's just under 80 today. That's just silly. These readings can't go on forever.

Today we had a reversal day for the broad market, us dollar, precious metals and oil. The market is over extended. We have seen the market rally 20% since the July low.
Inter-market analysis is important to understand because everything is related in some way. The next month will be very interesting with the US dollar trying to rally, which will put pressure on precious metals, stocks and commodities.

The Global Financial Crisis Explained- Credit and Credibility Part2 / Stock-Markets / Credit Crisis 2009
Continued from Part1 - Consequently, the ETR believes a return to the gold standard, or some rules-based derivation thereof, is highly unlikely without either a grassroots US taxpayer revolt or an utter collapse of the fiat dollar precipitated by global consensus to end its use as the world’s reserve currency. Neither appears likely at this juncture. The groundswell of popular dissent needed to achieve the former seems to have been largely bred out of Americans over the last generation, replaced by a distracted, self-absorbed apathy that seeks easy salvation in a president that emulates the wrong Roosevelt: what we need is a trust-buster carrying a big stick, not an interventionist appeaser masquerading as an eco-warrior.

The Global Financial Crisis Explained- Credit and Credibility / Stock-Markets / Credit Crisis 2009
Richard Karn/ETR writes: Introduction: By early November of 2008, the Emerging Trends Report (ETR) had been inundated with so many enquiries regarding the viability of our themes in light of the global financial crisis that we embarked on a review and re-evaluation of all nine of our themes in this fluid and decidedly hostile environment. Eight months on, this book-length tenth report is the result.

Stocks Bear Market Pattern and the Battle for Financial Sphere Hegemony / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bear Market
PROPHECY -
Or plausible consideration of cyclical relationships, and fractal repetition
If one embraces the notion that cycles exist within economies and financial markets, and that, progressions within cycles are fractal and of various size and degree, one must then conclude there is a dynamic level of general repetition continuously occurring across various timeframes. The footprints of such fractal repetitions record themselves continuously via data points plotted across the axis of price and time. They do so through recorded price chart data gathered throughout the course of history.

The Great Fed Financed U.S. Dollar Decline and Stock Market Rally of 2009 / Stock-Markets / Market Manipulation
The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to the point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group or any controlling private power." Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945), 32nd and longest-serving US president

Stock Market Stuck in the Gap... / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
We made a nice move a few days back to get through the bottom of that 1060 to 1080 gap on the S&P 500. We are hanging out above 1060 but are unable to this point to take out 1080 thus we're literally stuck in the gap. A tough place to get much volatility.
