Weekly Stock Market Technical Analysis Report - 12th May 07 / Stock-Markets / US Stock Markets
The good news is: Most of the major indices hit multi year or all time highs last week.
Short Term
Most of the market run up since last summer has been marked by a lack of sellers not exuberant buyers. It looks like the sellers are returning.
The chart below covers the past year showing the NASDAQ composite (OTC) in orange and a 5% trend (39 day EMA) of NASDAQ downside volume (OTC DV) in brown. OTC DV has been plotted on an inverted Y axis so decreasing downside volume moves the indicator upward (up is good).

Media thrives on Stock Market Crash Fears - Oh, the Fear of It All! / Stock-Markets / US Stock Markets
"Is the stock market headed for a catastrophic crash? Will ‘Black Monday' be re-lived in painful detail for millions of investors just like you?"
To discover the answer to these questions the reader is asked to send $149 for a year's subscription and a handful of "free reports" on how he can avoid being trapped by the granddaddy of all stock market crashes -- coming soon to a stock exchange near you!
Unfortunately, the above copy material for a financial newsletter promotional that I received (as quoted above) was the same exact promo that I'd received in the mail every year since the last bear market bottomed in late 2002. More than four years and many mass mailings later, this particular publisher is still waiting for his Mother-of-All-Depression scenario to materialize. Meanwhile, the benchmark S&P 500 index has risen from a bear market low of about 800 to its most recent high of 1510 in the last four years.

Worldwide Stock Market Crash - Time to Get Liquid? / Stock-Markets / Global Stock Markets
The story today is a world financial bubble. Aside from a possible attack on Iran – The story right now is a world financial bubble. This article will discuss it in very broad terms. The thesis is that maybe you should right now be thinking about getting liquid – gradually. I consider our time right now, May 07, to be a time just like before the world stock crash of ‘29.
Imagine what people would have thought, if, after the stock market crashed in successive waves over a period of a year into 1930 – what they would have though it they could have gotten out of those markets in say, Feb 29…..and not ridden stocks down 50% .. and later 90%, in the several years following the '29 crash.

Investing in India, Off the Beaten Path in Bangalore! / Stock-Markets / India
Tony Sagami writes: In five days, I'll be climbing aboard a Singapore Airlines plane to visit Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Macau, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangalore. I love going on these trips because I always uncover some fantastic investment opportunities.
Take Siliconware Precision Industries, for example. Less than a year ago, I was on a bumpy two-hour train ride through gritty towns and endless acres of rice paddies just to get to the company's hometown of Hsinchu City, Taiwan. But boy was the ride worth it — my Asia Stock Alert subscribers just bagged a 107% gain on the stock!
On another trip, I visited an education company's classroom. The teacher said a few Americans had visited the company's office in downtown Beijing but I was the first American to have come to an actual classroom.

More Questions On the 4-Year Stock Market Cycle That Refuses To Be / Stock-Markets / Cycles Analysis
Where's the 4-year cycle low? Did it bottom last summer? Could it have bottomed this past March? What would it mean if the Dow goes to 15,000? Hasn't this advance proven that cycles are no longer relevant? Doesn't it appear that history is no longer relevant? I continue receiving e-mail on these questions and in today's WrapUp I want to address these topics.Read full article... Read full article...

US Money Supply Scam, Welcome to the Ponzi World / Stock-Markets / Money Supply
Born in Parma, Italy, Ponzi immigrated to America in 1903 and was quick to show his entrepreneurial flair.
In 1908 he was imprisoned for two years in a Canadian prison on forgery charges relating to a fraudulent high-interest scheme. Shortly after his release from jail Ponzi was once again arrested for smuggling illegal Italian immigrants from Canada into the U.S. He spent a further two years in an Atlanta, Georgia prison cell.

China's Stock Market, Tick, Tick, Tick ??? / Stock-Markets / Chinese Stock Market
What the first thing you think of when you hear "tick, tick, tick"?
It could be a clock, but if you watched enough action films, it is usually a time bomb.
China tick #1: UBS's economist, Jonathan Anderson, was stunned when he calculated that China's Currency Reserves went up 1 million dollars a minute during the entire first quarter this year. " This is more than just a jump ," Anderson said in a report released yesterday. " The magnitude and the abruptness of this acceleration are simply stunning ."

A 3-dimensional approach to technical analysis
Cycles - Breadth - Price projections
Current Position of the Market
SPX: Long-Term Trend - The 12-year and 10-year cycles are still in their up-phases but their influence will be reduced in the weeks ahead as intermediate and long term cycles bear down into year-end.
SPX: Intermediate Trend - With the price reaching the preferred target area, the rally from 3/14 should be coming to an end.

Stocks & Commodity Markets Analysis - Never Fade Our Friend Fibonacci / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets
The markets continue to add on points as the S&P gets closer to its destined target of at least 1556. This week closed above the round number of 1500, leaving us just 50 points away, and I'd bet there are plenty of investors who liquidated their stocks along the 2000-2002 decline and are now wondering why they did such a silly thing as that. The buy and hold strategy that got them into that mess now seems to be working perfectly, now that they're no longer in game.Read full article... Read full article...

Weekly Stock Market Technical Analysis Report - 5th May 07 / Stock-Markets / US Stock Markets
The good news is: Most of the major indices closed at multi year or all time highs on Friday.
Short Term
The market is and has been overbought for a month or more and it keeps going up.
The blue chips have been outperforming the secondaries which is usually a negative. May, after the first few days, has historically been good for the secondaries, but not the blue chips. The market has been doing a good job of following the typical seasonal pattern recently and, if that continues, there will be a shift to strength to the secondaries in the next few weeks.
